The Fabricmate System incorporates a specially designed panel track, an acoustical and/or tackable substrate or core, and a fabric cover. The system is typically mounted on a wall, but can also be mounted on ceilings and other surfaces. The track is placed around the area to be covered creating a high-impact frame. The framed area is then "filled" with the substrate. Incorporated in the track design are a set of jaws and a hidden channel. The edges of the fabric are inserted through the jaws and into the hidden channel. The jaws hold the fabric taught allowing the fabric to “float” above the surface of the panel. This has several advantages. Because the fabric is "floating", you will not see any "dents" or other contact damage and the fabric can easily be removed and replaced should it become damaged, soiled or if a change in fabric is desired.
